Ascend ("we", "our", "us") is a cosmetic self-care organization app. It helps users organize skincare routines, maintain a product shelf, keep private journal notes, add optional reference photos for their own records, and set gentle reminders. Ascend is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or health measurements.
1. Photos and Journal Data
Photos in Ascend are optional personal reference photos for your private routine journal. They are used only to help you keep your own records inside the app.
- Collection: We only access photos when you explicitly choose to take a photo or select one from your library within the app.
- Usage: Optional photos and journal notes are used for personal routine tracking and reference only. They are not used to diagnose, treat, measure, or assess any health or skin condition.
- Storage: Routine, product shelf, journal, reminder, and optional reference photo data is kept on your device unless a feature clearly tells you otherwise.
- Sharing: We do not sell your personal data or use your optional reference photos for advertising or tracking.
- Retention: Your routine and journal data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app.
2. Data We Process
- Account/profile data you enter (for example age range, skincare preferences, routine goals).
- Routine, product shelf, journal, reminder, and optional reference photo data you add.
- App usage and analytics events (to improve stability and experience).
3. How We Use Data
- Show and organize your routines, product shelf, journal notes, reminders, and optional reference photos.
- Help you maintain consistency with your own self-care routine.
- Improve app performance, reliability, and model quality.
- Provide customer support.
4. Data Sharing
- We do not sell personal data.
- We use the following third-party service providers to operate the app:
- RevenueCat — Subscription and in-app purchase management.
- Analytics provider — Anonymized app usage analytics.
- We may disclose data when required by law.
5. Data Retention
- Routine, product shelf, journal, reminder, and optional reference photo data: Stored locally on your device. You can delete it by editing your entries or uninstalling the app.
- Profile data: Retained as long as you use the app. You can request deletion via support.

- We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data.
- Network connections use HTTPS where applicable.
- No online system can be guaranteed 100% secure.
